# 00 — File Inventory

**Scope of scan:** every file under `C:\Users\liuha\OneDrive - UNSW\UNSW is\Y2T2\INFS3700\`, recursively, excluding the output folder `INFS3700_Final_Exam_Revision_Pack\` itself.

**Totals found:** **293 files across 45 directories**, in 13 distinct file types, totalling 2,481.6 MB — 75 `.md`, 53 `.jpg`, 46 `.pdf`, 31 `.png`, 19 `.docx`, 18 `.html`, **17** `.txt`, 13 `.svg`, 8 `.pptx`, 6 `.csv`, **4** `.m4a`, 2 `.mp4`, 1 `.json`.

75 + 53 + 46 + 31 + 19 + 18 + 17 + 13 + 8 + 6 + 4 + 2 + 1 = **293**. The per-type figures and the headline total are the same number.

**Recount, not a preserved figure.** The previous revision of this pack recorded 284 files across 44 directories. The source folder has since changed: **eight lecture and tutorial transcripts and one audio file were added**, and a new `lecture transcript\` directory was created. The census below was re-run rather than carried forward. The delta is exactly +8 `.txt`, +1 `.m4a`, +1 directory.

**Counting method.** The count was produced programmatically, not by hand:

- a single recursive walk of `C:\Users\liuha\OneDrive - UNSW\UNSW is\Y2T2\INFS3700\`;
- **the output folder `INFS3700_Final_Exam_Revision_Pack\` was excluded from the walk entirely** — none of the files this pack generated (the guides, the rendered slide images, the diagrams) are counted in the 293;
- every regular file counted exactly once; symbolic links not followed, so nothing is double-counted through the `3700assignment backup files\` mirror;
- file type taken from the lowercased filename extension; a file with no extension would be reported separately (there are none);
- directory count excludes the root itself, and includes `.claude\`;
- the script asserts that the sum of the per-type counts equals the total before printing, so the two figures cannot drift apart again.

**Why the very first figure was wrong.** The first build of this pack stated "269 files across 39 directories". That headline was a hand-written estimate and was simply incorrect — the per-type list beside it already summed to 283. It rose to 284 when `WEEK9\09 Service Blueprinting - Lecture Slides T2 2026.pdf` was added after the first build (taking `.pdf` from 45 to 46), and to 293 when the transcripts arrived. Directory count went 39 (wrong) → 44 → 45.

**One empty directory, reported not removed.** A folder named `新建文件夹` ("New folder") sits at the root of the course tree and contains **nothing** — no files, no sub-folders. It is not the same folder as `3700assignment backup files\新建文件夹`, which still holds its two files, including `s1-11.docx` (verified still byte-identical to `AUTHORITATIVE_Slides_01_to_11_Final_Content.docx.docx`). The empty root-level folder is counted in the 45 because the census counts what is on disk. **It was not created and has not been deleted by this pack** — no file or folder in the course tree was modified, renamed, moved or deleted. If it is not wanted, remove it yourself; nothing in this pack depends on it.

**No source file was modified, renamed, moved or deleted.** All access was read-only; PDF page images were rendered to new files inside the output pack.

**How they were used.** All eight transcripts were read in full and mined for passages that add something the slides do not carry. 111 candidate passages were extracted and each was independently checked: that the quoted string really is in the file, that the point is not already in the guide, and that it agrees with the relevant deck. **30 survived; 81 were rejected** — most because the guide already made the point. Every surviving quotation was then re-verified by literal string search before being written into the guide. Provenance for each is in `01_SOURCE_MAP.md` §15; the full account is in `04_ACCURACY_AND_SCOPE_AUDIT.md` §15.

**Cross-week duplicate that matters:**
`WEEK8\08 SD Intro - Tutorial case study.pdf` and `WEEK9\09 - Tutorial case study.pdf` are **byte-identical**. The same case study runs across the Week 8 and Week 9 tutorials — the Week 8 session frames it with the 5Ps and the Week 9 session blueprints it. This is treated as one source, cited as *"Week 8/9 Tutorial case study"*.

### 5.2 Late addition — the Week 9 lecture deck

`WEEK9\09 Service Blueprinting - Lecture Slides T2 2026.pdf` was **not present** when this pack was first built and was added afterwards. It is not a duplicate of anything; it is a distinct 40-slide lecture deck and it is now the primary source for Chapter 14.

Its arrival changed three things:
